About me!

Hi Guys,


Again, I apologize for the delay. If you have been following my blog, you will know I do not have an about me blurb! So my followers probably think I have fell off of planet Earth. Below is a brief "about me-currently"


About me (Quick Version):


I am graduating next month with a degree in Finance. I have been extremely busy trying to finish strong. However, after graduation, you will be receiving many and more frequent updates! I honestly can not wait; I have so much in store.This blog for now includes positive and proactive methods you can use in your daily life; However, soon I will be including financial implications you can use to be financially positive. If you have any suggestions or specific articles, please inform me!

Habits (Part 1)

As I promised an article is here!

This week's topic is........HABITS.

The example that Webster Dictionary uses is very interesting to me. This "example" associates the word habit with "bad". Why might that be? Because a lot of us, whether we realize it or not, have associated the word habit with "bad" due to some of our "regular tendencies or practices" that we might or might not be aware of.

Below are a list of "good" habits I want to create:



"As I am writing this article it baffles me to be honest. Why am I writing an article about habits? My mind is telling me: Haven't you tried to create habits already and FAILED?

Yes I have! I'll be the first to admit I have failed at MOST of my habits I have tried to develop. It's hard! Actually its not just hard, it's extremely hard. SO instead of listing unrealistic steps that you might have saw elsewhere, I want to provide steps for beginners. When I say beginners, I mean the real beginners. The people that are a mess. The people that are cluttered. When I say cluttered I don't mean tangible items everywhere in a room. I mean mentally cluttered. The people that have no clue what the next 3 hours will look like. The people that have no plans. The people that have been telling themselves "I'm going to vacuum my car" but said that 2 months ago. The people that have been meaning to send "Thank-you" cards, but haven't got to it yet. This is for you! I am one of you. I use to beat myself a lot when I wasn't "perfect" at my new habit. I use to wonder "why is so hard to just do what I am suppose to do?"
          Now I am more happy than ever..."

How to surround yourself with positive people and/or things!




       So how do you start? How do you start attracting people that are positive or just like you?

I know this is going to sound super cliché, but it honestly starts with you! You have to change yourself before you start attracting these grand people or things. I have found that life is a parallel. What you see in the mirror is what will reflect in your life. Until I truly understood that, I can say I was just going through the motions of life.

So before I list some tips, I want to leave with one thing; You have to want to create a positive environment for yourself. You do. It's just that simple. If you are half way-ing a habit or goal, you are going to half way get results. So lets get started! Last week the topic was allocating your time to things that matter most like your goals and so on. Now it's time to look internally! What is surrounding you?

1. Look who's around you. You might be a positive person, but the people around you are draining you. AND yes, this does include family members. Write a list of people that make you feel good and bad. Evaluate who holds value in your life.

2. If you find it difficult to cut off particular friends, tell them, "I'm trying to be positive, so I would rather not speak about "whatever." If they respond negatively, and don't take you seriously, they handed you the scissors. Chop Chop.[ Honestly, this would be a good tester to see who is really your friend, and if they really care about you changing your life for the better.]

3. Decrease your allocation of time on things that annoy you. Really! These little things that are  annoying you and not really benefiting you can be the reason you are complaining all the time, or thinking negative. These annoying things can either be people or tangible items. Just remember, what you complain about, you bring about!

So I'm going to leave you with those three steps.. I would say these are the basics! We will go more in-depth soon. Stay tuned!

Next week will be a media post of one of my favorite videos! This video helps me whenever I might be down, tired, or drained. I always refer to this video when I want to put things in perspective. I can't wait for you all to see it!

Time Allocation



How are you allocating your time?

I know we always hear these quotes such as: "time is an essence" or "time is valuable", but what do we really do with our time?

 Are we spending time with positive people? Are we spending time working toward our goals? Are we spending our time WISELY?

These are questions I have to ask my self everyday. Often times I have found myself being lazy and not really working towards my personal goals. In my mind I want to believe I do, but if I have to be truthfully honest with myself, I do just enough.  Sometimes it's hard to put energy and time in things you might not see a sudden benefit from.

"I remember when I use to go to work I never wanted to clock-out early or get sent home early. Although, I wasn't crazy about my job, I knew if I did not allocate my hours and time towards my job, my check could be short of funds."

This is the same concept we should use when allocating our time and energy towards our personal, social, and career goals. I know, sometimes it can be easier said than done. When it gets hard, ask yourself the following question:  How can I expect change in my life if I do not allocate my time to what I want to see change?

This week I challenge you to pre-plan your week hour by hour. If you don't see this post until mid-week, use the remaining days of your week to do the same. Also, give me feedback! Start!

This blog is to help promote healthy positivity in all aspects of life. Sometimes it is hard to stay positive, believe me I know. I struggle everyday to instill positivity in my brain in hopes it will become habitual, and it will! Everyday is a day to start!  I think that's the great thing about life. We get a chance over and over again to change our attitude, circumstance, and/or situation.

Each week I will upload a topic or situation that will motivate you.
